Cutting the body
Mahogany was a great wood to work with on the first guitar, so I'll use it again. Here are a couple of pieces:

My brother helped me again, to plane the block, to square and plane the neck piece (on top), and to cut the 7 degree angle for the headstock. The big block is not wide enough so I added a couple pieces. You can see the outline of the bass body, like a Hofner bass.
I cut the body out using a little band saw:
