Headstock and Machines

The tuning machines consist of a post and gear plate assembly and a bushing:

This might be the third fiberboard template I've made to determine the tuning machine hole spacing; I don't want to make a mistake when drilling big holes in the mahogany head stock.  I drilled 11/16" holes in the template, then pressed in the bushings using a vise.

Holes drilled.  Head stock shaped at the nut using a 1 1/2" Forstner bit.
